About ECOA
ECOA, the Euro Clean Oceans Association, was created in 2026 as the first pan-European industry group bringing together companies and the existing associations involved in oil spill and wider marine pollution from across geographic Europe.

ECOA, a New European Association
Oil Spill and Marine pollution does not stop at national borders. Incidents, risks and response often involve shared waters, shared responsibility and cooperation between different organisations and countries.
Learn more about ECOA and how it recognises the value of national organisations and existing sector bodies. Its role is to build on those foundations by supporting a pan-European network focused on oil spill and emerging marine pollution industries.
ECOA aims to help the sector become more visible, better connected and better organised to respond to the challenges ahead.

Why ECOA
ECOA supports promotion, collaboration, visibility and knowledge-sharing across the European oil spill and marine pollution sector.
The Association has been created to help members connect with others working in the field and contribute to a stronger shared understanding of the challenges.

As ECOA grows, it will support industry collaboration, connections between members, discussions, and awareness of oil spill and marine pollution issues.
ECOA is Created Around Participation
ECOA is a membership association. Its strength will come from the organisations and individuals who take part, contribute knowledge and help shape the direction of the sector.
Membership is open by application to eligible companies, start-ups, NGOs, government organisations and individuals with an interest in oil spill and marine pollution.
